Posted by: David Omondi Boarding house before finishing Dear Donors, We want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the incredible support you have accorded us and ensured that our girls can access free education. Because of your generous support, we were able to finsih our dormitory floors, ceiling and setting up of one extra classroom (floor, ceiling and purchasing desks). This enabled us to admit 16 new girls including Lilian to Akili Boarding school which they now call home. They were all very happy a their parents brought them to the boarding school. For many of these underprvileged girls from Obunga slum, this is their first time to a boarding school and to stay away from home. We are privileged to play a part in nurturing their young dreams and are excited to see them grow into empowered and independent women who can run the world. We were also privileged to host two volunteers Kendra and Josh from Boys and Girls Clubs of Denver USA who helped us to paint the classoom and dormitory and teach the girls smart girls program. Thank you so much for your incredible support. Volunteers Kendra and Josh painting the boarding house Classroom is ready for the new girls Lilian and her friends in class
