Riley Orton Foundation (ROF)  provides holistic education and promotes gender equality in STEM education to ensure  girls and a community with the agency to realize their full potential.
Through our AKILI STEMart academy we promote gender equality in education by supporting both boys and girls to improve and grow interest in science,technology, engineering and mathematics by engaging them in practical STEM fields which historically have been male dominated.

We have a mission to alleviate poverty among marginalized girls and communities in Kenya through an integrated and coordinated approach that addresses holistic education, health, economic empowerment and life skills education to provide beneficiaries the agency to make sustainable changes for self- sufficiency. We then hope to inspire rural girls to take up STEM careers in order to  reduce the gender and skills gap in STEM, increase employment of women and spur economic growth.

Donate to our Fundraising Campaigns on Global Giving Org

GlobalGiving is a nonprofit that supports other nonprofits by connecting them to donors and companies. Since 2002, they've helped trusted, community-led organizations from Afghanistan to Zimbabwe (and hundreds of places in between) access the tools, training, and support they need to make our world a better place.

Global Giving Org also runs matching campaigns allowing grassroots orgs like ROF to partner with its supporters to raise more funds to support our programs. 
The funds raised are regularly sent to ROF account in Kenya.

DONATE TO GIRLS SCHOLARSHIP FUND

Scholarship covers cost tuition/fees, food and menstrual hygiene products for underprivileged rural girls in high school. Annual cost is $250 or $20 monthly/recurring. 

DONATE TO WOMEN MICRO-FINANCE FUND

We offer business skills training/mentorship and give micro-loans & grants of $50 to $100 to women involved in small scale businesses including selling cereals, groceries and other retail shops to boost their businesses.

Sponsorship

Our sponsorship program enables marginalized rural girls to access quality high school education and leadership skills to give them the agency to be the next generation of women leaders in Kenya and beyond. Partnering with individuals around the world to sponsor the girls is a powerful way to ensure that these girls can stay in school and realize their fullest potential.
