Note: No experience is required to participate in our volunteer trips. All you need is a desire to contribute, learn, and immerse yourself in a rewarding experience. Whether you’re a seasoned volunteer or new to community service, you’re welcome to join us. We invite volunteers aged 16 and above, with 16-year-olds needing parental consent.

Location + Getting here
Akili STEMarts Academy, Kisumu, Kenya, East Africa
Volunteers will be arriving at Kisumu International Airport (KIS), where they will be picked up and transported to the accommodation site. At the end of the trip, they will also be dropped off at KIS for departure. We encourage volunteers to arrive by 5 PM at the latest to ensure smooth logistics. If you anticipate a later arrival, please let us know in advance.
For those wishing to extend their stay beyond the volunteer program, we’re happy to assist with arrangements. Please note that any additional stay will be at your own extra cost.

Accomodation
Accommodation will be provided at a local glamping site in Obambo village, offering a unique and comfortable experience. Shared rooms accommodating 2 to 4 people are also available. Wi-Fi and fans will be provided for your comfort. The site is secure with sufficient security at night, allowing you to fully enjoy your stay. Additionally, the glamping site is conveniently located near social amenities such as hotels, restaurants, swimming pools, and beaches on Lake Victoria, where you can relax and explore during your free time.

Unlimited Free Changes: You can make unlimited free changes to your booking up to 30 days before your start date, even after paying your trip fee to secure your place. This allows you the flexibility to adjust your plans without any added stress.
Full Refund Option
We offer options that provide a full refund of your trip fee ensuring that you can secure your place well in advance with zero risk. Trip cost paid can be used as credit for future trips. Funds crowdfunded from friends and family on Omprakash platform shall not be refunded and will be channeled to support ROF’s work as planned
